Asbestos Removal in Croydon

When asbestos first became widely popular in the early 20th century product safety was not a priority. As a result, whispers about the health threat posed by these microscopic fibers were ignored and the material was introduced into countless homes and businesses in the form of insulation, roofing, countertops and everyday items.

By the 1990s though the whispers had become cries for help and in 1999 the UK government finally banned the use of asbestos altogether. But by then it had already found its way into countless residential and commercial buildings right across the UK. Since then the process of eliminating legacy asbestos has fallen to companies like Asbestos Gone.

The health risks posed by asbestos are well-known these days. They include all manner of respiratory distress and various types of cancer, including mesothelioma, or cancer of the lining of the lungs. By removing legacy asbestos products safely and effectively you remove this threat and everyone who enters your home or business can breathe easier. Literally.

As we mentioned earlier, attempting to remove asbestos yourself is extremely ill-advised. All you are likely to do is put yourself in the line of fire and raise the threat level for everyone else.
