Asbestos Removal in Harlow

There are a lot of folks who are fond of tackling projects around the house, and we applaud that impulse. Asbestos removal, however, is one project that needs to be left to the professionals for a couple of compelling reasons. First of all, asbestos removal is exacting work. Just one misstep during the process could release billions of dangerous asbestos fibres into the air inside your house making a bad situation much worse. Second, and most importantly, UK law is clear that only properly trained, government-certified individuals are allowed to handle asbestos.

You might think that because asbestos has been present in your home for years and no one seems worse off for it, that there's no danger to yourself or others. If only that were the case. The truth is it typically takes years of inhaling asbestos fibres before you wake up one day having difficulty breathing. A useful comparison of the health threat posed by asbestos is that posed by cigarette smoking. People new to smoking almost never display adverse effects. It's only after smoking for years that health problems begin to manifest. Health problems - respiratory illnesses, lung cancer - that are eerily similar to those caused by asbestos.
