Asbestos Removal in East Sussex

Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral that has been known to humans for thousands of years. For most of that time, its use was extremely limited because locating and mining it was difficult. In the late 19th century, however, all that changed. Manufacturers realised that its robust fireproof qualities meant asbestos was ideal for the production and marketing of building and home products.

Although health problems surfaced shortly after industrial scale mining began these were largely swept under the rug. As a result, asbestos containing products wound up being installed in millions of UK homes before the government outlawed asbestos use in 1999. If your home contains asbestos the only way to eliminate the threat is to have Asbestos Gone remove it. Every member of our team is rigorously trained to CITB and BOHS standards and certified by the government. We have many years of experience ridding UK homes of the asbestos threat and we can do the same for you.

When first installed asbestos containing products pose little if any threat. It's only as they age and start to break down that the threat emerges. As these products lose their integrity they begin to release ever-greater amounts of nearly invisible asbestos fibres. And it is the inhalation of these fibres that produce respiratory conditions as well as a form of cancer called mesothelioma.
